This Saturday, Boombox encourages you to get thoroughly Orked! As local bad boyz Orkestrated (Adam Bartas & Dean Paps) hit the decks for a wall pounding, all stomping encounter.

This week Boombox also pays homage to Future Music Festival with our very own Big Bang launch party. Be on the look out for rad goodies and prizes to get you ready for Future Music festival in 2012.

Australia Day is the official national day of Australia. Celebrated annually on the 26th of January, the date commemorates the arrival of the First Fleet at Sydney Cove in 1788. 

On this date each year, we we partake in the consumption of a whole lot of beer, BBQ'd meats and listen to the best songs of the year during the Triple J Hottest 100.

This week at Mynt Thursday, we bring to you an Australia Day Party full of all the above. Be treated to some live music from Lakyn, cheap VB's and a midnight BBQ.

Having recently taken on remix’s for Nicky Romero, P Money, Wiley, Carl Kennedy and The Stafford Brothers, the Neon Records lovechild is also fresh of the back of a collaboration with DJ PP through Hot Fingers. He’s back story includes numerous Aria charts appearance’s, Inthemix DJ poll findings, residences (Q Bar, La La Land, The Saint, 161…) and flawless appearances countrywide. Pete Tong’s a fan – Thanks to the Essential Collection. And the man’s name continues to rank on the Australia Festival scene, closing Falls (with Mr. Andy Murphy…) for both 2010 and 2011 – Mind you, throwing down one hell of a New Years bash. Backing it up on each occasion with Summadayze main-stage gigs come New Years Day.

He’s the people’s DJ. Inhabiting a true gentlemen’s musicianship alongside a powerhouse presence. Behind the misconceived façade of a DJ/Producer lies a childlike quality and true love of what they do.
